Work - life conflict arises when the demands and duties of job and family roles are contradictory, making participation in the work role more difficult and participation in the family role more difficult. This disagreement can arise in two ways. Family life can cause conflict with work life, leading to work-to-family conflict. Parents may miss deadlines due to sick children or work schedules may prevent family functions or household chores.
